Role Description:

The position of eDiscovery Analyst is an IT (not Legal) position that includes responding to internal requests from the Office of General Council (OGC) for preservation, collection, processing and production of digital data in support of litigation matters.

Digital data includes both unstructured (assisting custodians in finding responsive documents on their Company-issued PCs) and structured (collection from databases) data sources globally.
Collection (through process-driven phone sessions) and processing (decrypting email, verifying all files are readable, removing non-standard files, and loading into Clearwell eDiscovery Platform) of unstructured data is the core component of the position (90% of work).

eDiscovery response activities also include interacting with inside and outside legal counsel to convey findings.

The ability to understand and communicate complex IT constructs to non-technical personnel is a core capability of all team members.

Qualifications

Skills Required:
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows, MS Office (especially Outlook), hard drive and file encryption, file compression, network and storage technologies
Demonstrated oral and written communications skills to a wide audience
Disciplined approach when completing work and adhering to documented procedures and stringent deadlines
Ability to walk custodians through the processes needed (via phone call and remote desktop session) to find, collect, and upload their responsive data

Skills Preferred:
Experience in the preservation, collection, processing and production of data to be used in litigation, preferably using Clearwell eDiscovery Platform
Familiar with client Computing Infrastructure
Familiar with WebEx conferencing tools
Strong interest in Security & Controls, specifically the areas of electronic discovery, data privacy, and compliance; desire to gain competency in these areas

Experience Required:
1-2 years of experience in an IT field
In-depth Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office (especially Outlook) in a support setting

Experience Preferred:
Infrastructure development/operations, at client particularly
IT Support in an law firm/legal environment

Education Required:
Bachelor degree in computer field, or related experience

Education Preferred:
Degree in Information Assurance or related field, IT Certification (MCP, FTK, Encase, GSEC, GCFA, etc.)

Additional Information:
No Lawyers please-this is an IT position. Also, this is NOT a Digital Forensics position

This position requires the successful completion of a background investigation and/or drug screen.
