Showing, one job listing at a time, how toxic a JD is on the job market. Please don't go to law school.

Intellectual Property Staff Needed for DC Law Firms (Washington, DC)

http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/doc/lgl/4660253317.html

Several openings for candidates who have experience with IP work -- IP Secretaries, Trademark Paralegals, IP Paralegals, Docketing Specialists, Foreign Filing Specialists, Docketing Coordinators, Docketing Managers, New Applications/Formalities Specialists, and Trademark Managers, etc.

Experience must be from a law firm IP department and candidate must have good tenure. College degree strongly preferred.

No JD's or Attorneys will be considered!

[Ed. Note that a college degree is 'strongly preferred', meaning that in principle you could get this job without one.  If you get that college degree and follow up with a law degree, though, then you won't be considered.  A JD makes you less valuable than somebody who did not finish college.]
