This is a HIGH-LEVEL position supporting a Sr. Partner in a Global Law Firm located Downtown Manhattan
(no JD's, sorry!)

Candidate should have:

-- Five (5) + years of solid Medium to Large size Manhattan Law Firm experience Supporting or having Supported an Associate or Partner Level Attorney

-- BACHELOR'S DEGREE with above average GPA is required
-- (Master's Degree NOT required, however is a plus)

-- Bilingual English / MANDARIN is a HUGE PLUS

This Senior Partner works with a significant & Global Book of Business

Starting Salary Range 70-85k, depending on background & experience

Position involves significant responsibilities:
-- Client relations
-- Research
-- Oversight of cases
-- Development of new business
-- Administrative matters
-- Work with partner to learn his cases, clients and business development initiatives
-- Screen communications, answer phones, handle travel and meeting arrangements.
-- Billing, opening new business matters, time entry, budgeting, etc.
-- Assist with management of cases, including large scale federal litigation, advising clients and licensing
-- Conduct on-line business research for existing cases and to develop new business.
-- Work with other staff on cases, including attorneys, case managers and paralegals, as well as clients, co-counsel, witnesses, and experts.
-- Draft documents, letters and other correspondence. Some occasional light personal work.
-- Excellent written and verbal skills (WRITING SAMPLE IS REQUIRED)
-- Understand federal litigation, preferably with knowledge of intellectual property issues (patent matters in particular).
-- High level of computer literacy, including research skills, social media awareness and a general interest in uses of technology in society.
-- Required proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
-- (Worksite, Adobe, Pacer and LexisNexis are helpful, NOT required)
-- General Office Hours are 9:30a - 5:30p -- Flexibility on overtime required.
