Junior Litigation Assistant (Downtown San Diego)

We are a boutique securities litigation law firm located in downtown San Diego seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, friendly, and outgoing individual to perform administrative and entry level paralegal duties. This is a full-time position (35-40 hours a week) in a casual work environment. Ideal position for someone who may not have a great deal of law firm experience, but who is a quick learner and is motivated to move up in our firm as a senior paralegal! Training is provided, but you must have exceptional computer skills and office experience.

Responsibilities/Duties:
• Answering and routing incoming phone calls
• Ordering office supplies
• Scanning, faxing, and filing documents
• Process mail
• Maintain waiting area, conference room, and other public areas
• Input time in Timeslips
• Conduct legal research of court rules and procedures (federal and state)
• Perform legal research via Pacer and Courtlink
• Draft and proof-read correspondence, briefs, and other related documents
• Prepare hearing binders
• Assist in general case management

Desired Candidate - Please NO ATTORNEYS OR BAR CANDIDATES
• Bachelors Degree or Paralegal Certificate required
• Proficient in Microsoft Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Pro
• Ability to take direction and work independently
• Must have exceptional organizational skills and produce ACCURATE work product
