Prerequisites
  • At least 3 years experience negotiating both contract language and budgets
  • Experience negotiating clinical research contracts preferred
  • NO JD Candidates
Skills Required:
  • Knowledge of contract language and clauses, particularly clinical research agreements.
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Responds resourcefully to changing business demands and opportunities, proactively looking for ways to contribute
  • Promotes the sharing of information across departments and/or teams within the function
  • Demonstrated ability to function in a high matrixed team environment
  • Ability to work on complex, multi-faceted projects with minimal supervision.
Description:
  • Perform and manage all activities associated with the drafting, negotiating and execution of clinical research agreements, vendor contracts, confidentiality agreements, consulting agreements, amendments to executed agreements and others as appropriate to support the business needs of Celgene US Medical Affairs.
    • Draft contracts using the appropriate templates
    • Where appropriate review the agreement scope and seek stakeholder feedback if necessary
    • Adjust or insert appropriate language into template when required
    • Negotiate contract terms and conditions in collaboration with the legal department, internal stakeholders, and outside party
    • Review budget for compliance with company policy and
    • Track, manage and communicate contract and contract amendment status .
    • Communicate with Celgene internal team members, vendors, Investigators/Institutions as necessary to resolve contract and budget issues.
  • Anticipate and prevent or escalate issues and concerns.
  • Maintain an electronic library of previously negotiated contracts and leverage previously agreed upon language.
  • Attend department and project team meetings and provide appropriate information to support business needs
