[Ed.-- As pointed out on JDU, this is "the dictionary definition of JD disadvantage. They won't take you out of
the running explicitly for having one, but they prefer that you don't
have one". As always, it's worth reading the "No JD" in conjunction with the other requirements; even if you have 3-5 years of on-point experience and are available immediately, they would still prefer it if you DON'T have a JD. And that's for a job in the legal department! The legal department doesn't want you to have a JD, why on Earth would anybody else?]
